Guests enjoyed an exciting evening of fun, food, and entertainment as Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge traveled to Ireland’s Killarney Railway Station for A Celtic Holiday! Authentic Celtic cuisine and culture, as well as music and dancing, were featured as we celebrated Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge.

Dinner was catered by The Scottish Cottage from Asheville, NC, and entertainers included Good Thymes Ceilidh Band and The Knoxville Pipes and Drums.

A complete gallery of photos from “A Celtic Holiday” may be viewed at photographer Rob Welton’s website. You may also purchase copies of the pictures on this site. The pictures are terrific and are also very reasonably priced.

Now in its 41st year, Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge is the place in East Tennessee where families play, learn, and grow together. Through exhibits, classes, camps, and special programs and events we offer unique opportunities for education and for creativity through hands-on play. In 2013 we served 42,000 visitors. The annual gala helps to support this vital educational resource. Please consider making a special donation and join the museum’s valuable work. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
