Curious Clay

Youngsters will pinch and pull while exploring the squishy cool feel of clay. Then create a rattle and pinch pot to take home.

These classes will emphasize the basic techniques, of form and shape for wheelwork. More individualized help available depending on experience level. Create an original piece of art to give or keep.

Gingerbread Tale
December 2 & 9
Play with your gingerbread puppet as you join us for the tale about the gingerbread boy. Then create your very own gingerbread house. Bake gingerbread baby cookies and run, run as fast as you can...to find that gingerbread baby!
North Pole Express
December 16, from 11-noon, $10 fee
Wear your pajamas and listen for the "All Aboard" call from the conductor. Drink hot chocolate and eat cookies while listening to the sights and sounds of the Polar Express. Make a reindeer with a bell, and then come play in the preschool room.
Arctic Wonderland,

Come celebrate the winter season as we turn the classroom into a winter arctic habitat. Children will learn how polar bears keep warm, where they live and what they eat. Create your own polar bear puppet; discover what an ice floe is and how bears use them. Read White Bear Ice Bear.
Carnival Fun Under the Big Top

Come join us under the big top for carnival games, clowning around, tightrope walking, balancing, rope painting and Carnival cooking.
Kingdoms and Castles

Hear ye! Hear ye! Brave knights and Fair Ladies learn the royal code of chivalry, practice slaying dragons and dress the part as they are dubbed knights and dames.
Rain Forest,

Taste foods that grow in the jungle, discover the creatures that live there, jump through the trees like a monkey and make a rain stick.
Creepy Crawlies,

Investigate bugs. Hop, crawl and fly like an insect. Make your own bug-eyed glasses, and buggy treats. Construct a bee and build a honeycomb.

Enjoy our celebration of trees on display for the month of December. Make a decoration to hang on our Appalachian tree December 5th from 11am-3pm.

Bake up some tasty Holiday treats to enjoy and share with Rachel Reagan owner of Touch of Love Catering. Hone your kitchen science skills to bake up some cookies, invent a Gorp-mas Ball and melt into a candy mold!

Santa's Workshop, 1-3:30pm, $10 per child
Here comes Santa with special games, crafts and a photo op with the jolly old elf (be sure to bring your camera).
Saturday December 19th
Creative Holiday Crafting, 1-3pm, Ages 6-12
$9 Member, $14 Non-Member
Create your own wrapping paper, card and a gift to give. Designing your wrapping paper will be messy fun. Then create your card with recyclable materials, and shh don't tell what this gift will be!
